European Japanese Studies Database
Project for the initiation of a digital collections sharing network for Japanese studies using ActiveMedia.

The European Japanese Studies Database (http://www.ejsd.eu) was one of my initiatives at the Centre for Japanese Studies at Leiden University in 2006. It was set up to provide scholarly and educational institutions in Europe the means to share educational and research materials in the field of Japanese Studies.

In order to do this Leiden University set up a service that uses the web based digital asset management system ActiveMedia, in which one can store, edit, manage and retrieve digital assets like text documents, all kind of image formats, pdf-files, presentations, animation, video and sound files.
