One of my first assignments after my return to Leiden Uiversity in 1996 was to setup a homepage for the Centre for Japanese and Korean Studies at Leiden University. No one had experience building websites so it was decided that the youngster of the team had to solve this problem.

After struggling a few months with the structure and the layout I finally built a website with the good old Cyberstudio.

Of course, the university eventually came up with its own standardised templates for the entire university. The university design resembled my ideas. I cannot claim that they took my design as their basis, but at least I was not far- off of what the professionals made of it.
